Key process of the tomato paste processing line

1. Discharge platform
When fresh tomatoes arrive, it's usually in lorries that are difficult for humans to empty. Therefore, we designed an unloading platform and used water to transport the fresh fruits/tomatoes to the processing line. Also use a water gun to eject fresh fruit/tomatoes from the truck. Additionally, the unloading platform has another feature that allows pre-washing of fresh fruit/tomatoes before processing.
2. Elevator
This machine is used to delivery fresh fruit from outside the building to inside.
3. Washing
Fresh fruit should be washed well before crushing. A foam washer and a spray washer can be used together for cleaning. Further washing steps can be added if washing requirements are high. In addition, the cleaning effect can be enhanced by adding ultrasonic cleaning or ozone cleaning.
4. Sorting
After washing, the surface of the fruit is clean, we can check the situation of all the fruit by human eye, and sort out the bad tomatoes by human.
5. Crushing for tomato processing
GFM-FC series crushers have advanced working principles, higher manufacturing precision and the best crushing capabilities. It is mainly used to grind various types of fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes, mangoes, apples, strawberries, pears and celery. The raw material can be crushed into small particles, which can improve the working effect of the next processing. section. 6. Preheating
The pre-heater is used to heat the product after crusher, the temperature is adjustable, normally from 45℃ to 85℃. This processing step, would help to higher the juice rate for next step, and also can protect the color and taste of the final product.
7. Pulper and refiner
The machine also runs at 1470 rpm and creates centrifugal force that allows the product to pass through the sieve, helping to refine the product. It is usually used in two stages, a pulper and a refiner, but the screens in each stage are different, the first stage has a large screen and the second stage has a small screen. The production rate of tomato pulp in two stage mixer can reach 90%-95%. After pulping, separate the tomato skin and seeds from the tomato pulp. The machine has large working capacity and stable performance. Simple operation and replaceable screen. Suitable for different kinds of fruits, such as passion fruit, tomato, mango, peach, apricot, mango, apple, etc.
8. Evaporating
Vacuum evaporator is used to concentrate tomato paste under vacuum and low temperature. Here we use a forced circulation vacuum evaporator. Because it is vacuum-packed and low-temperature, flavors and nutrients would be protected as much as possible. And right now we evaporate the water from the tomato pulp, then we will get the tomato paste, normally the Brix is 28-30% and 36-38%.
9. Sterilizing
Tomato paste uses a tube-in-tube sterilizer. Sterilization temperature and retention time are adjustable. The machine holds the ketchup at a high temperature of approximately 115°C for 30 seconds, then immediately cools it to room temperature. In this way, the tomato paste can also be tested to preserve the nutrients as much as possible. The whole system adopts programmable control. The operating system adopts human-machine image interface, convenient to intuitively grasp the working status of each component of the equipment.
10. Aseptic Filling
Aseptic filling machines use tubes in tube sterilizers. It's a closed loop. Prior to production, the cycle is fully sterilized to ensure a sterile environment. The filling cavity is also vapor protected to ensure that the filling environment is also sterile. Security - Provides multiple security methods. Adopts mirror welding technology to achieve clean and smooth welding. Separate control panel. CIP and automatic SIP can be used with the sterilizer. It can be easily adjusted to fit different capacities and sizes of sterilization bags.
11. Storage or go blending
The finished product can be stored or used as the raw material to make the tomato sauce or ketchup.
